M&J Group become title stand sponsor
Bedford Blues are proud to announce an exciting new partnership with locally based construction and roofing specialists, M&J Group, ahead of the 2023/24 Championship campaign.
The headline of this multi-year agreement sees the Goldington Road grandstand renamed as ‘The M&J Group Stand’ effective immediately.
Blues are extremely grateful to M&J Group, not just for their sponsorship support, but for also responding in the club’s hour of need with extensive structural works and the replacement of the stand roof this summer.
Commenting on the latest sponsorship announcement, Chief Operating Officer, Gareth Alred said: “We are delighted to welcome M&J Group into the Blues Family and thank them, not only for their incredible long-term sponsorship, but also for their fantastic support in delivering a very challenging project this summer on a tight timescale and to a superb standard.
“We first worked with Pete, Jack and the team on a family fun day event at Goldington Road in 2021, following the unlocking of all restrictions post-covid, since then the relationship has strengthened and we are pleased to see them front and centre as people either pass the ground or venture in.”
Established in 1972, M&J Group are now one of the largest specialist construction companies in the UK. Having developed their extensive knowledge of the flat and pitched roofing industry into total building envelope works.
M&J Group CEO, Jack Henrickson added: “Bedford Blues are in the DNA of Bedford, not just a sports club, but a vital community hub, which is further emphasised by the great youth charity work undertaken by Blues Foundation. This is certainly something M&J Group hope to be working closely with the Blues on going forward – mentoring and creating meaningful career opportunities for the youth of Bedford.
