Your guide to Friday’s Fireworks and Funfair

Posted: 31st October 2023

The countdown is on until this Friday’s annual Fireworks Display and Funfair at Bedford Blues.

There are limited tickets remaining with a £2 online discount! Don’t risk missing out, get your tickets now before it’s too late by clicking here.

Due to new legislation and changes in our display setup, we will have a lower capacity than in recent years, so the event is definitely expected to sell out with no tickets available on the gate.

Event Logistics & Timings

Gates open at 6pm for another action packed, fun filled evening at the home of Bedford’s premier sporting club.

For the first time this year, all gates will be open and in operation to ease the flow of spectators including the hospital gate, located at the top of the ground through the Gilbert Hitchcock Health Centre, plus the usual main turnstiles on Goldington Road and the adjacent Burrow entrance opposite Bushmead Avenue.

The funfair, bars and catering units will open from 6pm, leaving plenty of time to take a wander around the ground and soak up the family atmosphere at this traditional town event, before the first display starts at 7pm. The children’s display is the perfect winter warmer for kids of all ages, ahead of the main event.

The main display kicks off an hour later at 8pm with another bright, loud and entertaining firework display planned as Firemagic attempt to raise the bar once again. From Catherine Wheels to Firecrackers and Rockets, Goldington Road will be ablaze with colour for the night!

Suitable for every age, enjoy a great family night out or the perfect warm-up for a meal and drink in town, situated just a five-minute walk away.

Last admission is 8pm to ensure no one misses out so make sure to arrive in good time. Strictly no admission thereafter.

Food and Drink

Food outlets will be available around the ground and on the main thoroughfare, alongside a Deja Brew Mobile Truck. For drinks head to either The CMC Marquee, Scrum Bar, Rebel Bar or Chalet Bar next to the M&J Group Stand. Toilets will be available in all these areas as well as the stand.

Music and Shoutouts

As always we will be playing music across the PA all night in the lead up to the big countdown. If you want a song added, a birthday shoutout or just a message of who you’re at the event with, please email ryan@bedfordrugby.co.uk or message our social channels.

Hospitality – One Venue Remaining

FINAL CALL: With The Dovecote Park Suite now completely SOLD OUT, the only remaining option to upgrade your experience into hospitality is within The Burrow at the Blues. Limited places available; click the button below to reserve.
