Big Game Preview
Despite just 30 miles separating the two teams, there has been just one competitive previous meeting (a 73-0 victory for Bedford in 1979) as well as a number of friendlies in more recent times.
Mike Rayer’s side head into the game with confidence after putting on 53 unanswered points against Hartpury a fortnight ago. It’s been a tougher start for Richie Williams’ Cambridge, still in search of a first victory of the season, but will look to spring an upset on derby day this Saturday in what is their debut campaign in the second-tier.

There are two other food outlets available Saturday; the refurbed catering unit by the main gates and Taylor’s Kitchen at the Scrum Hall serving hatch.
After the match, head to The Rebel Bar for the return of ‘Final Whistle’ featuring the Man of the Match interview with Guest Announcer Dave Rogers or straight into the CMC Marquee for live music with the much acclaimed Marc James.
