Bedford Blues Women continue their quest for Twickenham on Sunday when they host familiar foe Rugby Lionesses at Goldington Road in R32 of the RFU Women’s Junior Cup (KO 2pm).

There’s no better momentum heading into a huge cup clash than seeing off your closest title rivals last time out while retaining your 100% perfect start to the season in all competitions.
A battling performance saw Blues Women past Harpenden last weekend and they’ll need another attritional showing to get past Rugby Lionesses and continue their best ever run in cup competition.
Rugby Lionesses head across the counties with momentum on their side too after some recent impressive results – it’s set to be a cracker as the two collide at Goldington Road.

Christmas is just around the corner but there’s more business to attend to before Blues Women can put their feet up for the Festive period.
They’ve pretty much guaranteed they’ll be top at Christmas after that Harpenden result, but will not want to take their foot off the gas now they’ve secured such a healthy position. They face Stockwood Huns next weekend away from home (3rd December) before concluding the calendar year at Goldington Road v Hitchin II (17th December).
Opposition Analysis
Victory on Sunday for Blues Women would see them correct some wrongs from last season when they suffered a league defeat at Rugby (27-17) despite a hat-trick from Alivia Usher-Harris.
Divisional restructures over the Summer sees them apart this term but drawn together in cup competition. Having avenged defeats to St Neots and Milton Keynes already this term, they go for a hat-trick of overturning results on Sunday.
It’ll require another strong performance to stand any chance with Rugby Lionesses heading into the big game off six straight victories, including three from three on the road. Something will have to give on the weekend.
