Big Game Preview

It’s 3rd v 4th at Goldington Road, and with no other games in the second tier across the weekend, it’s all to play for with the victor heading top of the Championship table.

Blues are still chasing a first league victory over Coventry since pre-Covid, but off the back of five successive victories and backed by a vociferous home support, it’s set to be a thriller.

Adding extra spice, former Blues’ Alex Rae (Head Coach), Will Chudley and Ryan Hutler will be in the opposition trenches for a Coventry side buoyed by a Boxing Day win over Nottingham in front of 5,000 at The BPA.

Food, Drink and Entertainment

Head to the ground early to avoid the queues and sample everything on offer. Why not grab a programme and visit one of our seven public bars; our choice would be upstairs in The Rebel Bar serving this week’s guest ale, Wainwright’s Amber, or for a speedy pint try Swipestation in The Scrum Bar.

The mini fan village remains ever popular with the usual offering of No.7 Coffee House Mobile Truck and The Cocktail Box (also selling soft drinks), alongside the Dunster House Bar and Burger & Sausage Hut.

For this match, there are two additional bars, the first located next to the CMC Marquee entrance serving draught beers, the second next to the Burrow Chalet Bar serving cans only.

Elsewhere there are three other food outlets available: the refurbed catering unit by the main gates, Taylor’s Kitchen at the Scrum Hall and The Burrow serving hatches.

After the match, head to The Rebel Bar for the continuation of ‘Final Whistle’ featuring the Man of the Match interview with Sam Roberts or straight into the CMC Marquee for live music with regular favourites and acclaimed duo, Mark Calder and Cameo Williams from The Voice.
