TEAM NEWS | Changes aplenty for Caldy
Mike Rayer has named his squad as Bedford Blues look to continue their recent momentum when they make the trip to Merseyside to face Caldy tomorrow afternoon (KO 2pm).
Just a fourth meeting between the two sides, but with an average of 67 points a game from the previous encounters, it’s set to be another humdinger on The Wirral this weekend.
As Blues head North looking for a first ever victory at Paton Field, Rayer elects to shuffle his cards and makes nine changes in comparison to the Starting XV which secured victory on Derby Day against Cambridge last weekend.
Archie McParland and Henry Pollock are both handed first starts in Blues colours, while Tom Lockett gets his first minutes for the club this season as part of five alterations in the forwards pack.
Elsewhere, there is a return for Matt Worley at full-back meaning Dean Adamson reverts back to his familiar left-wing position.
Among the replacements, Kayde Sylvester returns back into the fold as part of a 6:2 split.
Jac Arthur (HIA Protocol) and Luke Frost (Back) join Ethan Grayson and Jacob Fields on the treatment table this week.
