Big Game Preview

After encouraging victories last weekend, both sides will be looking to strengthen their grip on the top end of the Championship. After an away success at Coventry last time out, Pirates have the wind in their sails and will be looking to avenge defeat from earlier in the season at The Mennaye.

Blues have actually beaten Pirates in the last three meetings, but will have to be on their mettle to have any chance of making it an unprecedented four on the spin against a side who still lead the overall series 26 wins to 20 – and are currently the league’s form side.

Food, Drink and Entertainment

Gates open at 12:30pm, so why not head to the ground early to avoid the queues and sample everything on offer, before securing your spot for live coverage of Italy v England in the opening round of Six Nations action (KO 2:15pm).

All venues will show Steve Borthwick’s side opening their campaign, with Wales v Scotland (KO 4:45pm) also available while the action on the hallowed turf is taking place.

This matchday, there are seven public bars and four hot food stalls. Grab a programme at the gates and settle in for a full day of rugby; our choice remains upstairs in The Rebel Bar serving our trio of Real Ales which launched last week.

Elsewhere, those looking for a speedy pint can try Swipestation in the Scrum Bar, enjoy traditional surroundings of the Former Players Bar or visit any of the external bars around the ground.

The mini fan village remains ever popular with the usual offering of No.7 Coffee House Mobile Truck and The Cocktail Box (also selling soft drinks and canned beers), alongside the Dunster House Bar and Burger & Sausage Hut.

Post-game, head to The Rebel Bar for the continuation of ‘Final Whistle’ featuring the Man of the Match with Sam Roberts or straight to the CMC Marquee for live music from returning favourite, Marc James.

Blues Foundation Guard of Honour

This week’s Guard of Honour, sponsored by Bellway Homes, will be Bedford Junior Blues U10s. Make sure you give them a cheer as they step out onto the pitch to form the pre-match entrance.

Club Shop

Re-stocked with more lines of our heritage range! Our shop is open from one hour before KO, half-time and post-game; browse the collection from replicas to leisurewear, keyrings to beanies.

Saturday’s fixture is a complete hospitality sellout yet again! And there’s extremely limited availability for our remaining fixtures, so contact us ASAP to avoid disappointment!
