Mike Rayer has named his squad as Bedford Blues prepare to return to home Championship action tomorrow, as Goldington Road turns pink for the highly anticipated Ladies Day (KO 3pm).

Always a special day at the home of Bedford’s premier sporting club, a whole host of activation is planned to keep supporters entertained, including the highly anticipated shirt auction which follows the action on the hallowed turf.
Bedford have a proud record on Ladies Day which they will be looking to defend in front of an odyssey of pink at Goldington Road, raising vital funds for Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice, based in nearby Moggerhanger.
Ahead of the 15th edition of the charitable day, Rayer sticks with the majority of the side that secured victory on Derby Day two weeks ago away at Cambridge, making just two changes to the Starting XV.
In the backs division, Joel Matavesi returns to take the outside centre position, while in the forwards pack there is a slight change up with Kieran Curran installed into the back row at openside.
By retaining his spot, Dean Adamson will make a 175th club appearance in the 11 jersey. It is expected that his jersey will likely be sold for one of the highest figures after the game, considering the record figure reached by Bedford’s fourth greatest try scorer in May 2022.
Among the replacements, Ewan Baker is in line for his first Championship minutes of the campaign, having solely featured in the Premiership Cup to this point. Jordan Onojaife continues his personal crusade towards 100 appearances before retirement this Summer.
Joe Howard and Louis Grimoldby remain unavailable for selection this weekend, while centre pairing Jamie Elliott and Jordan Venter join them on the treatment table having sustained injuries at Cambridge.
