MATCH FOCUS | Tappers’ Testimonial on Sunday
The curtain will fall on Goldington Road for another season this Sunday as Blues stalwart, Pat Tapley hosts his Testimonial Match to conclude a year of celebration.

Big Game Preview
A whole host of Former Blues will take to the hallowed turf this weekend with an accumulative 600 caps already named to return to Goldington Road.
Names announced so far: Sean McCarthy, George Edgson, Oli Curry, Mike Howard, Jon Phillips, Joe Atkinson, Jarad Williams, Darryl Veenendaal, Grayson Hart, Brendan Burke, Corey Hircock.
Make sure to check out all the Tappers’ Testimonial social media channels (X, Facebook & Instagram) for further player announcements in the build up to KO, with many of the current crop also expected to take to the field in support of Tappers.
Entertainment – Live DJ
There’ll be a party atmosphere inside Goldington Road with a special DJ deck erected on the halfway balcony to play some of the best Ibiza Classics before, during and after the match.
For those trying to follow the rugby, our very own Ryan Robinson will be on the mic trying to spot which players are scoring outstanding length of the field tries and which lads are making the biggest howlers!
For those trying to watch the rugby, as well as the round ball game, Football’s Richest Game, the Championship Play-Off Final between Southampton and Leeds will be LIVE in The Burrow from 3pm.
Food & Drink
Things may look slightly different to a regular fixture, but we’ve still organised plenty to keep you entertained so why not head to the ground early as gates open at 1pm.
There will be three places open to get a pint; namely The Scrum Bar, The Burrow at the Blues and The Dunster House Cabin Bar.
In addition, there will be two hot food outlets with the Burger & Sausage Hut in the Mini Fan Village and Fold Me Close Mobile Pizza Truck operating from outside the marquee. Ice Cream Joe will also be on site to complete the offering with dessert!
Bedford Junior Blues
To kick-off proceedings, Bedford Junior Blues will host a minis tournament on the main pitch between 1:30-2:30pm, affording a rare opportunity for some of our younger age groups to experience playing at Goldington Road.
