Performance Analyst Work Placements

Bedford Blues are seeking a Performance Analyst intern for next season to work alongside Jake McKenzie. The role will give the successful applicant the opportunity to work within the Championship club environment.
Purpose of the Placement:
(i) To provide support to the Bedford Blues Performance Analyst, particularly around areas including live data collection, analysis, and performance evaluation.
(ii) To provide an aspiring Performance Analyst intern with an opportunity to work in and contribute to the department of a Championship Rugby Club.
Time Commitment:
The ideal candidate will be required to help with filming of Bedford Blues training sessions (weekday evenings), match days and other times as agreed with the Performance Analyst.
Desirable Personal Attributes:
- Interest in Sports Data / Filming / Performance Analysis
- A sound understanding of computer software systems; experience with Nacsport desirable.
- An understanding of rugby union.
- To have an outstanding work ethic and ability to work and communicate as part of a team.
- To be disciplined in their approach to their work and have the ability to adapt.
- A good sense of humour.
- This position is ideally suited to someone from Bedford or the surrounding area. External applications will also be considered.
