Mike Rayer has named his squad as Bedford Blues prepare to contest their final home game of the Championship season this Saturday with Doncaster Knights the visitors to Goldington Road (KO 3pm).

The game presents a final opportunity to use any remaining Bring a Friend for Free codes. All other tickets with the usual £4 online discount available here.

Saturday’s contest is a 41st between the two sides, and sixth in the past 18 months, with two humdingers at Goldington Road in 22/23 resulting in scorelines of 42-42 and 49-28.

It’s 4th v 5th when the two sides step out on the hallowed turf and Rayer has elected to make five changes to the Starting XV as Blues look to return to winning ways and sign off on a strong footing at home, before two trips to London to conclude the season.

Four of those alterations come in the forwards pack including the continuing theme of rotation within the prop jerseys as Jamie Jack and Oisin Heffernan will scrum down either side of James Fish.

Jordan Onojaife is brought into the second row to start on his final Goldington Road appearance before retirement at the end of the season, while Cameron King’s inclusion at Number Eight brings a slight reshuffle of the back row jerseys.

In the backs division, Blues’ top points scorer this season, Will Maisey is re-instated at fly-half.

Sean French will celebrate 50 club appearances having been chosen to start on the right wing.
