2024/25 Women’s NC1 Fixtures Announced
The full league fixture list for Bedford Blues Women in NC1 East has today been revealed as the team prepare for a new challenge in a higher division following promotion at the end of last season.
Following the usual league re-structure every season, Blues Women have been placed in a new regional section with more travelling in 24/25 compared to the last 12 months.
They will compete in a seven-team league alongside Peterborough Ladies, Ipswich Women, Stamford Women, Bletchley Women, Welwyn Ladies and Wymondham Wasps Women.
It is the ideal mix of familiar opponents and fresh challenges as Eddie Rennell’s side look to lay down a marker in their first campaign at NC1 level.
The tests against Peterborough will be the perfect opportunity to showcase how much they have developed in recent times, following two heavy defeats in the 2022/23 campaign when Peterborough were promoted as champions in an unbeaten campaign.
Rennell’s side bounced back with a league Invincibles campaign of their own and will be fully aware of the target on their backs following such a stand out season. It doesn’t go unnoticed.
Stamford are the other side they’ve played before, that coming in knockout cup competition last season as a real captain’s contribution from Lucy Middleton saw Blues Women run out 17-10 victors away from home.
The remaining four sides will provide some new venues to travel to, and some tough opposition, but all is set for another exciting campaign as Blues Women look for a third title in four seasons.
As like last season, all Women’s home fixtures will take place at Goldington Road as we continue to build our wider Blues Family and promote the game across Bedfordshire.

While we anticipate lots of the coming season’s fixtures to take place on Sundays, all dates are currently declared as weekends of until full confirmation has been agreed with each opponent.
In addition to the league fixture list below, additional cup fixtures are scheduled to be announced next month. Pre-season friendly details will be notified on social media soon.
Head Coach, Rennell said: “We’re all excited to challenge ourselves at NC1 level and this is a big opportunity for the team to show how much they’ve developed.
“We understand it’s a step-up, but we’ve been working hard in pre-season to negate that and everyone in the squad has bought into what we’re trying to achieve.
“Every game will be a challenge but to have the first two at home, with a strong Goldington Road crowd behind us, will only go to ease that transition to a higher level.
“Hopefully everyone in our #BluesFamily continues to get behind the team in 24/25 and we look forward to seeing everyone through the turnstiles next season.”
