SDG continue Blues partnership

Posted: 10th June 2024

Bedford Blues are pleased to announce that another of its longstanding club sponsors, SDG are continuing their partnership into the 2024/25 Championship season.

The family run business, who have held a base in the town since inception, are proud supporters of the club with this their 19th consecutive year of backing Bedford’s premier sporting club, having first come on board in the 2006/07 season.

Emblazoning their logo on the club’s jersey for the first time back in 2020/21, SDG were another of the six companies to hold a spot on all club playing jerseys following the announcement to have the same design across men’s, women’s and juniors last season.

As part of their sponsorship renewal at Club Level, they will again feature on the sleeve of all designs in 2024/25, while also retaining their proud position as Player Sponsors of Blues’ player-coach, Michael Le Bourgeois.

Further marketing collateral sees sponsorship boards around Goldington Road and various Match Sponsorships.

Discussing the new partnership agreement next season, Blues Chief Operating Officer, Gareth Alred said: “We are delighted to announce the retention of another longstanding club partner who are big supporters of the Blues.

“Gavin and his family have supported the club for generations and this sponsorship, as with many here at Bedford Blues, is about much more than just advertising and brand awareness. We are grateful for their continued support and look forward to welcoming them back for the new season.”

Established in 1993, SDG are a mechanical and electrical contracting company, servicing both the domestic and commercial markets.

Covering the Home Counties and further afield, SDG cites a client base including Schools, Care Homes, NHS Trusts, Hotels, Leisure Facilities and various private companies and individuals.

SDG Managing Director, Gavin Spendlove added: “We’re proud to once again renew our sponsorship of the club for the forthcoming season.

“It’s important for us to maintain our relationship with the Bedford Blues family and in particular, we’re looking forward to many entertaining days and nights of rugby at Goldington Road.”
