Service Express retain Blues sponsorship

Bedford Blues are pleased to announce that US based Service Express will continue their support in the 2024/25 Championship season having renewed their sponsorship for another campaign.
The IT conglomerate, who acquired longstanding club supporters Blue Chip back in 2021, continue to see the value of backing Bedford’s premier sporting club and will now head into a 17th season of support.
Blue Chip initially became sponsors of Bedford’s premier sporting club in 2007, before taking the front of shirt rights ahead of the 2014/15 Championship campaign. This headline partnership agreement continued for eight seasons.
Alongside the merger of the two companies, the Service Express logo appeared on the men’s jerseys for the first time in the 2022/23 campaign, switching to a position on the front chest plate, directly adjacent to the club logo.
Switching again to a position just under both collarbones for the most recent campaign, Service Express were one of six companies to hold a spot on all club playing jerseys following the announcement to have the same design across men’s, women’s and juniors in 23/24.
They held the same position on the women’s design, with a front chest placement on the juniors.
Bedford Blues Chief Operating Officer, Gareth Alred said: “Given our very strong relationship with Blue Chip over more than a decade, we have always been keen to retain that connection through Service Express and we are grateful for their support again next season.
“I would like to extend my thanks to Chris Smith and Andy King who continue to be fantastic local conduits driving the partnership, but also to US based CEO Ron Alvesteffer, who understands the power of sport and community, continuing to support us since the acquisition in 2021.
“We look forward to welcoming the team at Service Express back to Goldington Road next season.”
Since 1993, Service Express has been a pioneer in delivering on-site hardware maintenance for mission-critical servers, storage and networking equipment, and has grown rapidly with more than 50 offices across the United States and partnerships around the world.
Retaining a base in Bedford, the addition of Blue Chip was a transformative move for Service Express, bringing together two similar cultures and complementary expertise, leveraging a staff of team members worldwide.
