Countdown to Ladies Day
Ladies Day celebrations return to Goldington Road on Saturday 19th October as Bedford Blues host in-form Doncaster Knights looking to maintain their unbeaten home start to the season.
A huge Championship battle concludes the first batch of league fixtures for Mike Rayer’s side, who then turn their attentions to Premiership Cup action throughout November.

Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice Fundraising
For the second year in succession, Blues will be raising money for Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice based in Moggerhanger. As a charity close to many people’s hearts locally, we hope to raise another significant amount after a record Ladies Day donation back in March.
The CMC Marquee will definitely be worth a visit on the day, offering supporters a feast of additional treats with stalls from local Bedfordshire businesses; featuring cakes, cookies, sweets, gin and fizz bar, and more. Plus pre-match all ladies can enjoy a complimentary glass of rosé, thanks to Carlsberg Marston’s.
While sadly Fifth Avenue are unable to offer treatments this year, they have worked with us to a provide a ‘Promise Tree’ located inside our largest hospitality venue with huge prizes to be won.
There will be a raffle, auction and bucket collection as usual, while all Eco Cup donations will also go to Sue Ryder.
Post-Match Auction
A standout moment of the day will see the return of our post-match jersey auction as Blues once again wear a special one-off design to celebrate the day in-front of an odyssey of pink.
Every jersey is up for grabs in the initial silent auction (1-23), but select jerseys will be auctioned off by our matchday MC Sam Roberts in the marquee following the match.

Additional Entertainment Details
With another large crowd expected, we’re pulling out all the stops to ensure everyone has as good a matchday experience as possible at the home of Bedford’s premier sporting club.
Traditional activation like the Rebel Bar Final Whistle Man of the Match interview will remain, alongside live coverage of Harlequins v Bath (KO 17:30) for those looking to focus on the rugby.
Between the end of the game and the live auction, fan favourite duo Mark Calder and Cameo Williams will perform on the mic to kickstart the celebrations.
For the very first time, pink pyrotechnics will welcome the teams onto the field pre-game.
