TEAM NEWS | Squad named for London Scottish
![]()
Mike Rayer has named his squad as Bedford Blues prepare for their penultimate away voyage of the calendar year with the journey to the capital to face London Scottish (KO 3pm).
Tickets still available to join us in Richmond; get yours here.
A historic fixture with close to 90 years’ worth of intense battles, both sides have had their moments in the contest with little to separate the pair across that timeframe since a first clash in 1935.
Blues have a slender series lead to defend when venturing to the capital and Rayer makes four changes compared to the squad which started the clash with another London side, Ealing Trailfinders last weekend.
At full back Ewan Baker makes his first club appearance of the season in one of two backs changes, with James Lennon coming in at scrum half to replace captain Alex Day who came off injured last weekend.
There is the same number of changes up front with the rotation of the prop jerseys continuing with Jamie Jack this time chosen at loosehead. George Smith comes into the engine room.
Among the replacements, Alex Woolford makes a welcome return to the matchday squad as he closes in on his 50th club appearance.
