TEAM NEWS | Squad named for TV clash with Bath
Mike Rayer has named his squad as Bedford Blues prepare to restart their Premiership Rugby Cup adventure with a trip to The Rec to face Bath Rugby in-front of the TNT Sports cameras (Kick Off 3pm; Live Coverage from 2:45pm).
Tickets still available from our hosts here or you can reserve a free spot in The Burrow at the Blues by clicking here and support the boys from Goldington Road!
After a historic 50th meeting between the two sides back in November, 100 years since the first, Bedford will travel west for the first time since 2000 looking to spring an upset on their opponents who are currently sitting atop of the Premiership table.
Sunday’s game sees Rayer’s side live on national TV for the first time since November 2019, and he makes five changes to the side which secured a bonus point victory over old rivals Coventry last time out.
Two of those changes come in the front row with prop rotation continuing as Joey Conway is chosen to start at loosehead, while James Fish comes in at hooker having returned from injury absence off the bench last weekend.
Rory Ward is also back available after injury, with his inclusion in the second row seeing Luke Frost shift to blindside.
In the backs division, Matt Worley and Lucas Titherington come in at left wing and outside centre respectively.
Among the replacements, Beltus Nonleh has recovered from a hamstring problem to be back involved in a Blues matchday squad.
