After a composed performance against top-flight leaders Bath Rugby last time out, Blues will be looking to go again on home soil hosting the current second placed Premiership outfit in what is anticipated to be another cracker under the lights.

The two sides have averaged around 80 points per game in recent times and will celebrate 100 years of the fixture at Goldington Road having first squared off back in April 1925.

After a bruising encounter at The Rec, Rayer has been forced into a few alterations, making seven in total as Blues look to defend a proud home record under the Friday Night Lights.

Included within those changes is a first Goldington Road start for Nathan Langdon at hooker, one of five forwards switches. James Lennon and Michael Le Bourgeois come into the backs division, with the latter taking the captain’s armband.

Will Maisey becomes the latest to join the illustrious century club and shall lead the squad out to mark his 100th club appearance.

Among the replacements, Rayer will be able to call upon the services of two Northampton Saints youngsters with flanker Charlie Ulcoq and fly-half Louis Haley heading across for potential debuts.

Haley already has a strong connection to the club having come through all the age groups at Bedford Junior Blues prior to joining up with the Saints DPP.
