IN FOCUS | End of Season Run In

Posted: 31st March 2025

It’s the final countdown! There’s just three matchdays left at Goldington Road and we’re pulling out all the stops to ensure the perfect finale to the 2024/25 campaign.

From a mass choral performance to a first-ever men’s and women’s double header, and from golden reunions to summer festivals, plus everything in-between, there’s something for everybody at the home of Bedford’s premier sporting club.

All tickets are on sale with the usual £4 online discount; purchase yours here and join the fun.

Battle of the Championship’s Great Entertainers – Nottingham (Saturday 12 April)

It’s all going on when two Championship stalwarts do battle at GR as we celebrate the past, present and future of Bedford Blues!

In the CMC Marquee, we’ll be marking the 50th anniversary of the RFU Club Competition victory and subsequent tour to Canada, welcoming multiple members of the squad back to their former stomping ground for the FPA Spring Luncheon. The day also marks exactly 20 years since lifting the Powergen Shield – both trophies were won at Twickenham.

On the day, we’ll be teaming up with Parkinson’s UK Bedford to raise vital funds and awareness for a fantastic charity. Together, we’ll also be welcoming Rock Choir for performances before the game and at half-time.

Not forgetting the rugby, Blues and Nottingham average over 50 points per game in recent years. It’s going to be another epic duel for our only home game in April.

Historic Double Header – Men v London Scottish | Women v Hertfordshire (Saturday 3 May)

History in the making! Kickstart your Bank Holiday Weekend with live rugby, brilliant company and good weather (hopefully).

Never before have the senior men’s and women’s team played at GR on the same day, but we’re breaking new ground at the start this May.

Vital Championship points at stake as Mike Rayer’s charges battle the Exiles from London Scottish in the race at the top of the Championship, before Eddie Rennell’s team play in-front of their largest ever attendance against county opposition.

Settle in with us for the full day and enjoy a live DJ pitchside between the games and into the evening.

End of Season Party – Chinnor (Saturday 24th May)

It’s like London Buses, you wait for one Bank Holiday Weekender home fixture, and we’re bringing you two in the final month of the campaign.

Join us as Chinnor make their first ever trip to GR in the final home fixture of the season.

Stick around after the game for the post-match End of Season Party in the CMC Marquee with interviews from club officials and meet the players as we rock into the evening with local band; Goats in Trees.
