Maisey wins Followers Player of the Year

Following another stellar campaign, Will Maisey has been rewarded for his contributions to the team by securing the 2024/25 Bedford Rugby Followers Association Player of the Year Award.

The 32-year-old will again complete the season as the club’s main points scorer, the fourth full campaign in succession, and is fast closing in on becoming just the fifth man in history to surpass 1,000 points in club colours.

He has played pretty much every minute available this season across all competitions, accumulating over 2,000 minutes on the field in 24/25 already, still with two games remaining.

Looking at his entire Bedford career, the fly half has contributed 795 points from 108 games.

Maisey still has the chance to finish a Championship campaign as the leading marksman for the second time in four seasons, holding a slender advantage over Hartpury’s Harry Bazalgette with a few rounds of action still to be played.

He is one of a limited number of players confirmed as staying at Goldington Road again in 2025/26, alongside Alex Day and Fred Tuilagi. Will you join them for the latest chapter of the journey? Click here for full Season Ticket information.
