For the fourth time this season, Bedford Blues and Bedford Blues Women compete on the same day as each other, both taking on Cambridge at Ellgia Fields (Women’s KO 12pm; Men’s KO 3pm).

Big Game Previews
With the race for the Championship’s Top Four really hotting up in recent weeks, Mike Rayer’s side will be desperate to retain their seven-point advantage on the chasing pack and remain in second spot of the table.
They also have a proud history to defend having won all four of the previous competitive meetings between the sides, including last time out in-front of a sellout Goldington Road crowd on 28th December.
While no league points are at stake in the day’s curtain raiser, Eddie Rennell won’t be allowing any let ups in what is Bedford Blues Women’s final outing of the current campaign.
There remains a one division gap between the sides after both were promoted following the friendly 12 months ago, with Blues looking to build on the 43-15 victory from the first meeting between the pair.
Travel to support both senior sides
While spaces on the Followers coach are SOLD OUT, there’s still the independent options of travelling to the game available, still leaving enough time to race back to Goldington Road for the annual End of Season Dinner which takes place in the evening.
Don’t leave it until the last minute for the trip to Caldy on the final day or risk disappointment – places are still available on the coach for the 24-25 sendoff and can be purchased HERE via the refreshed Followers website.
