MATCH FOCUS | End of Season Party versus Chinnor

Posted: 21st May 2025

Bedford Blues prepare to bring the curtain down on Goldington Road for the 2024/25 Championship campaign when welcoming Chinnor to town for the first time ever this Saturday (Gates Open 12pm; KO 3pm).

Tickets still available with the usual £4 discount in advance online by clicking here.

Big Game Preview

There’s an awful lot at stake for Mike Rayer’s charges this weekend, not just the opportunity to confirm a second placed finish in the table should they overcome Nick Easter’s impressive side.

Guaranteeing a best home record in the division is also on the line, as is becoming the only side to beat every other Championship competitor – hoping to avenge December’s defeat at Kingsey Road – and equal Bedford’s best ever ranking since leagues began.

Blues won’t be taking the league’s new boys lightly though, the Oxfordshire outfit proved too strong for Blues at their place and will seek a third away success of the campaign, looking to spoil the home party.

Food and Drink

We’ve organised a packed schedule to suit the final home game, so head to GR early to avoid queues and sample all we have to offer!

Grab a programme and visit any of our seven public bars. Checkout the ground map below for updated locations including where to find our Bars and Hot Food kiosks, and enjoy a wander around the ground.

This weekend, Ice Cream Joe returns, but will be located near the CMC Marquee, and you can win yourself a special prize thanks to Club Sponsors, Clarabut & Plumbe. They will be running an activation with coconut shy to win Blues goodies in the Mini Fan Village. Unfortunately No.7 Coffee House will not be in attendance this match.

End of Season Party Entertainment

Head into the CMC Marquee after the final whistle for live music from Goats in Trees and a special function featuring the first team squad. Matchday MC, Sam Roberts will be on the mic at 6pm for interviews with the team, before settling back down for more tunes.

Blues Foundation Activation

This weekend’s Guard of Honour, sponsored by Bellway Homes, will be Linslade School. Make sure to give them a cheer as they step out onto the pitch to form the pre-match tunnel.

Fancy supporting our charitable arm in the easiest of ways? Our Eco Cup collection bins will be out in operation again so drop yours on departure to raise vital funds for Blues Foundation.

Club Shop
