Mobile Messaging Pilot Trial this May

Posted: 2nd May 2025

Bedford Blues are pleased to announce further developments with Crowd Angel that will see a new mobile messaging service undergo a pilot programme for the final two home matchdays of the campaign.

Twelve months ago, Blues became the first Championship club to partner with Crowd Angel, a leader in crowd safety technology. Their innovative platform has already been working in the background to ensure enhanced matchday safety and incident management at Goldington Road.

Working in further collaboration, we are now looking to bring more features of the platform public facing, introducing a secure and dedicated messaging channel to communicate directly with our #BluesFamily on home matchdays.

This new feature represents a significant step forward in not only ensuring safety for all spectators at Goldington Road, but to enhance everyone’s matchday experience.

The trial will take place at the upcoming home matches with London Scottish (Saturday 3rd May) and Chinnor (Saturday 24th May). All ticket holders for either game who have provided a mobile number when purchasing will receive an initial message on the morning of the game through our dedicated channel.

Contained within this will be an option to opt out of the trial, however involvement would be invaluable to provide essential feedback to help shape future matchdays and put Bedford Blues at the forefront of fan-focused safety communications.

A copy of the club’s privacy policy can be found here. No mobile numbers will be shared with third parties, this is a dedicated Bedford Blues messaging service used for communication between the club and its supporters.
