Howard Travis made Life Member
Following over 50 years of dedicated support to the club, Howard Travis has been bestowed the honour of Life Membership at Bedford Blues.
A longstanding stalwart of the club, Howard is most affectionately known for running the Friends of the Blues from 2012 to 2024, a vital fundraising organisation associated to Bedford Blues, raising nearly £300,000 of support since inception.
The funds generated from The Friends of the Blues have contributed greatly to supporting ground developments and helping improve the player offering at Goldington Road.
A lifelong supporter born in the town, Howard’s pride and passion for the club stretches much further than this role having spent a short time as the club’s Press Officer alongside his day job. He also played a role in the saving of the club in 1999 by its loyal supporters.
Originally a player, having donned the Rovers jersey for many years, he has put in decades of voluntary service to the club and is rightly recognised by the Board of Directors.
He was granted Life Membership at last month’s Friends of the Blues soiree by Club Chairman, David Gunner.
