FRIDAY | Halloween Fright Knight at Goldington Road
The first Friday Night Lights of 2025/26 Champ Rugby is upon us as Bedford Blues host Doncaster Knights at Goldington Road this week (Gates Open 5pm; Kick Off 7:45pm).
A scarily entertaining clash is in store on this Halloween as two of last season’s Top Four collide, looking to back up some high scoring contests in recent times.

Big Game Preview
Just one place, and two points, separate Bedford and Doncaster in the table – with both sides very much harbouring ambitions for the play-offs come the end of the season.
Mike Rayer’s men snuck into the Top Six with a thumping Derby Day victory last Saturday, recording a league high points tally of 66 scored, and will be looking to make it three on the spin backed by their vocal home support.
Doncaster head to Goldington Road in imperious form themselves, scoring at the death last time out to see off Worcester Warriors and make it three unbeaten. They travel from Yorkshire seeking a first win in Bedford since 2017.
Centre of Matchday Activation – the CMC Marquee!
Join us all evening in a Halloween inspired CMC Marquee with lots planned to keep you entertained on matchday. With the venue not being used as a hospitality venue, we’re inviting the entire Blues Family to soak up all the pre-match atmosphere.
Local pizza provider, Fold Me Close will be joining us outside the marquee from gates opening, so use our largest indoor space as the perfect base to enjoy your food and a pint.
Fantastic local singer Cameo Williams will also be with us before and after the game. The first set starts at 6pm, so arrive early and start your weekend party with us.
A Fan Forum hosted by Sam Roberts will start at 7pm to give supporters an opportunity to ask any questions you may have to select members of the Blues team and staff.
And the marquee will also be the only venue to pick up your latest Legends Eco Cup. As part of his Testimonial celebrations, Blues’ record try scorer Dean Adamson becomes the latest in our Legends series. Enjoy a pizza and a pint with Deano this matchday!
Food and Drink
As well as making sure to visit the marquee, don’t forget to take a wander around to sample everything Goldington Road has to offer with plenty of food and drink to enjoy with four hot food kiosks and seven public bars to enjoy, including Chicken George at the Burrow from Kick Off.
The newly named, Genesis Fanzone is another key place to visit – located adjacent to the scoreboard in the Southwest corner of the ground, housing No.7 Coffee, the Cabin Bar, the Sausage and Burger Hut and this week, Ice Cream Joe, serving hot and cold desserts.
Post-match, head to the Rebel Bar for a pint and listen to the Final Whistle Man of the Match interview.
