TEAM NEWS | Squad named for Ampthill battle

Mike Rayer has named his squad as Bedford Blues prepare to make the short journey down the B530 to face neighbours, Ampthill at The Olney Field tomorrow (Kick off 3pm).

A 21^st competitive meeting between the sides since 2019, all form goes out of the window on Derby Day as both sides jostle for position in the Champ Rugby table.

Rayer’s charges make the short hop across Bedfordshire in search of a first away victory of the campaign, with six changes made to the Starting XV which secured an important win on Ladies Day last time out.

Two of those changes come up front as Joey Conway and Nicholas Finch are both fit enough to start after recent injury concerns

In the backs division, Michael Le Bourgeois takes over the captaincy as the quartet of James Lennon, Will Maisey, Lucas Titherington and Ryan Hutler are brought back in from the off.
