Mike Rayer’s men return to league action this Saturday at Goldington Road as Bedford Blues host Nottingham with vital league points at stake between two play-off rivals.

Big Game Preview
Both sides ended the last block with impressive displays, Blues grinding out a bonus-point success at Caldy, which allowed them to rise to second in the table, thanks to Nottingham’s mud drenched, home win over Worcester Warriors.
Momentum will be crucial over the next seven games to secure play-off positions, with the Green and Whites looking to break back into the top six, after slipping to seventh in the table.
There’s over 130 years of history in this fixture, sharing a 28-all draw earlier this season at Lady Bay, so expect another afternoon of exciting rugby as two attacking teams go head-to-head.

It’s our annual Farmers Day in the CMC Marquee, one of six venues at complete capacity for this fixture. With all remaining league matches sold out in hospitality, why not upgrade for the England U21 Women’s fixture here on Sunday 10th May.
Food & Drink
Get behind your team from gates opening at midday and sample all we have to offer. There’s a familiar feel this matchday with the usual seven public bars and four eateries in all corners of GR.
The Genesis Fan Zone remains the place to visit, with additional activation as outlined below, plus the familiar No.7 Coffee House, Cabin Bar and Burger Unit. Elsewhere, try warmer surroundings of the Legends Bar or Scrum Bar.
There are three other catering units within the ground, including an outlet by the main entrance on Goldington Road, Taylor’s Kitchen at the Scrum Bar or Chicken George from The Burrow window.
Help the club continue its sustainability initiatives on matchday by using our new set of recycling bin banks, located across the ground. Dispose of your rubbish and eco cups in the correct compartments to support our eco drive.
Additional Entertainment
Join us in the Fan Zone at half-time for your chance to win a free pint of Genesis Bedford Stout. Head over to Brewpoint’s pop-up gazebo for a game of cornhole with our injured players.
Post-match we welcome Nash & The Mac for live music in the CMC Marquee, or head to the upstairs Legends Bar for the Final Whistle interview with the game’s Man of the Match.
It’s a full sporting spectacle on the TVs around the ground with live coverage of the Premier League clashes of Brighton v Liverpool (12:30) and Everton v Chelsea (17:30), either side of the action on the hallowed turf.
Blues Foundation Activation
Saturday’s Guard of Honour, supported by Bellway Homes, will be formed of three Bedfordshire schools; namely Putteridge High, Linslade and St Mary’s Primary. Please give them a cheer as they step out onto the pitch to form the pre-match tunnel.
With more eco cup return bins dotted around the ground, supporting the charitable arm of the club has never been easier! The proceeds of all donations go to Blues Foundation, helping them continue the fantastic community work they provide across the county.

The Goldington Road Ticket Office remains a cashless facility, so if buying on matchday, be aware we cannot accept cash, and this is the only place to buy them. Programmes will be on sale throughout the day from the Ticket Office, Shop or bars.
