TEAM NEWS | Squad named for Nottingham

Mike Rayer has named his squad as Bedford Blues return to Elior Champ Rugby action tomorrow afternoon, hosting Nottingham at Goldington Road (KO 3pm).
Always a thrilling encounter, the two sides have averaged 72.4 points across all matches in Bedford post-Covid, and with the weather expected to provide a good platform for attacking rugby, both will look to put on another edge of the seat contest.
As the race for the Top Six intensifies, and with both sides still harbouring ambitions of a finishing position in the upper echelons of the table, important league points are at stake for 2nd vs 7th. Read more about the two sides with the game’s matchday programme available online here.
With just three matches remaining on home soil in the regular league campaign, Blues will be looking for an appropriate conclusion to the season at Goldington Road, backed again by a large and vocal #BluesFamily.
For the game, which is a 116th meeting between the sides, Rayer makes just two changes to the side which started the game at Caldy last month, Blues’ most recent league contest.
Billy Pasco comes back into the backs division, while Craig Wright is named in the front row for his first appearance in Blues colours for 14 months.
Young Northampton Saints back three option Amena Caqusau is set to become Blues Brother #3861 having been named among the replacements.
