It was a 16 try thriller at Goldington Road as France U21 Women ensured they finished at the top of the U21 Six Nations Series standings thanks to a 71-17 victory over England U21 Women.
A game played with great spirit by both teams, and watched by 1,688 in attendance, France became the first visiting nation to defeat England out on the hallowed slope, and they did it in style thanks in a large part to five tries from Alice Grandhomme.
Her opposite winger, Iness Zeze, scored two as did front row forward Mailys Mailagi, while Elina Folituu, Aneymone Talalua, Oihana Tome-Belmonte and Alixe Valence also crossed.
For England, they had a majestic double from Grace White, who plays her club rugby at Ealing Trailfinders Women. Those two tries came in the second half, after a penalty try in the first.
Great to have international rugby back at Goldington Road.
