Fred Tuilagi retains coveted Men’s Players’ Player

Fred Tuilagi has become the first player in history to win the Bedford Blues Players’ Player of the Year in each of their opening two seasons having again been bestowed with the honour at the End of Season Gala Dinner.

It completes another remarkable campaign for the back row forward following more strong performances in 2025/26, chipping in with six tries from 28 appearances.

Overall, Tuilagi now possesses records of 16 scores from 52 games.

Tuilagi’s Key Stats in 2025/26:

- 1,723 minutes on the field

- 236 carries

- 594 carry metres made

- 239 tackles

Securing the award – which is voted for after every game by the men’s squad – is a huge accolade having received the votes from your peers thanks to impressive performances on the pitch.

Tuilagi’s name has now been engraved on the trophy for a second time. There has been an illustrious list of names to win the award in previous years, including more recently Joe Howard, Will Maisey and Tui Uru.
