Kayde Sylvester completes re-signing list
Bedford Blues are pleased to announce their 22nd and final re-signing for 2026/27 Elior Champ Rugby as Kayde Sylvester commits his future to Goldington Road for next season.
The Bedford School alumnus returned to the town 12 months ago and was involved in 23 matches last season, offering versatility across both the second row and back row departments.
On his decision to stick around, Sylvester said: “Ever since being back, it’s felt like a family. It’s an honour to be part of such a great club, which is also doing unbelievable things on and off the pitch.
“From a personal standpoint, I can’t wait to continue to grow and seeing how I can help the team continue its upwards trajectory.”
Having spent some time on dual registration in previous seasons, Sylvester currently possesses statistics of 35 appearances at Goldington Road, scoring three tries.
Thanks to stints at Nottingham and Cambridge, the 24-year-old has made more than 50 appearances in the league – a number he will look to hit at Bedford specifically in the upcoming campaign.
Forwards Coach, Cameron Boon added: “Kayde is a young, athletic back-rower with real potential. He brings great energy to both the game and the group, and he's always eager to learn and improve.
"We believe there's a lot more to come from him, and with a strong pre-season and continued hard work, I'm confident his best rugby is still ahead of him."
