SUNDAY | Blues Women back on home soil

Posted: 14th October 2026

The only opportunity to watch live rugby at Goldington Road this weekend comes on Sunday afternoon as Bedford Blues Women host Lincoln Ladies (KO 2pm).

Discounted tickets remain available online until midnight Saturday; get yours while you still can by clicking here.

Big Game Preview

Sunday sees a battle of two of the early pace setters in Championship Midlands Two battling off against each other, with Bedford in third hosting second placed Lincoln Ladies.

For the third game in a row, Rennell’s side again face an opposition that like themselves were promoted into the league this season, separated by just one place and one point in the table after two rounds of action.

The division’s two meanest defences are set to collide, having kept their respective opponents at bay to start the season.

As is the case for all fixtures in the first half of the season, this is the first meeting between the respective women’s sides of Bedford and Lincoln.

Team News

Just a week since the last thriller at Goldington Road, but Eddie Rennell should still be able to call upon pretty much a full squad this weekend with the team coming through the fixture relatively unscathed.

For just the third time in club history, a women’s player is set to hit 50 appearances this Sunday. Full team news will follow on Saturday morning.

What follows Sunday’s clash?

There are still three other home fixtures before 2026 is out, on 8th and 29th November, then a Saturday fixture on 19th December to conclude the calendar year.

In addition, there are three away trips and some long journeys coming up – next taking in Sheffield Tigers on 1st November, before trips to Sutton Coldfield (22nd November) and Bridgnorth (13th December).

Blues Women Charity Bake Sale

A little addition to this weekend’s fixture sees the team hosting a Charity Bake Sale, with any proceeds raised being split between Blues’ Save Our Scrum campaign (S.O.S) as well as Keech Hospice.

Cakes and sweet treats will be available from the Scrum Bar, so why not show your support and help raise some money when popping in to get your pint on matchday.

Season Ticket holders go free!

Bedford Blues Season Ticket holders are again entitled to free entry to all Bedford Blues Women home matches. Simply bring your card or QR code with you to the gate for admission.

Tickets are just £3 for Adults when purchased online, a £2 reduction to a fiver at the gate… U18s again go FREE. Head online for the cheapest rates simply by clicking here and support the team as they look to start their home proceedings in fine form this Sunday.

Only the Apron Seats within The FK Restoration Stand will be in use, operated on a first come, first served basis; alongside pitch side standing room.

The Scrum Bar will be the only venue open to the public to grab a pre and post-match pint with all the usual favourites on offer – food will also be available from the adjoining serving hatch.

Let’s get a large attendance through the turnstiles to watch Championship Two rugby!
