TEAM NEWS | Squad named for Blackheath trip
Mike Rayer has named his squad as Bedford Blues make their first trip into London of the 2026/27 campaign tomorrow afternoon when they travel to face Blackheath at The Utilita (KO 3pm).
While the Bedford Blues Supporters Club coach is sold out, there are still tickets available from our hosts to join the team with ample public transport options to and from the capital. Secure your spot in the ground here.
A fixture with over 100 years of history, the pair have faced each other on a number of occasions in friendly action recently – including Bedford’s last trip to The Utilita in the Summer of 2017.
An 18th competitive meeting comes this Saturday – and a first since a November 2005 Powergen National Trophy battle at Goldington Road – one of Rayer’s first ever home matches in charge of Bedford.
For the game, Blues make five changes to the Starting XV which fought to victory over Hartpury University last time out, one of which comes in the backs division and the remainder in the forwards pack.
A number of Blues players continue to close in on notable appearance milestones.
